It also went on to say that I didn't have to know how to knit or crochet to do this one. I do know how to crochet, so this is what happened. Now you can see why it took me so long to do. In total, I think it took well over 12 hours to do.
And please, don't ask for a pattern for this. There was no pattern. I did this pretty much off the top of my head, referring only to one of my amigurumi books for the squares used in the base and at the top and to my mom's big needlework reference book for how to get the white parts in for the windows and sign. This was definitely a learning experience! If I had to do it over again, there's a few things that would definitely be done way different than how I did this one.
